Communication Arts has selected my advertising work for USG to be featured in their July/August Photo Annual!
The campaign shot with Mark Sedlacek at Gyro showcases how their lighter product makes the competitor’s product feel. Everything was captured on set including the tub that we hung with chains. Filtre Studio cleaned things up in post.
Thanks to Melanie, Mark and Robert for making this come to life.
A new ad running for DePaul University shot on the sweltering hot Serengeti Reserve in Tanzania… I mean a Chicago studio with AD Matt Sullivan and retoucher Samer Almadani.
Thrilled to be a winner in this year’s American Photography contest!
The picture was shot for Bill Black at Reader’s Digest and won in the category of Editorial Portraiture. It was selected from over 8100 entries. Looking forward to finally meet Mr. Black at the award dinner in New York in November.
Out in Golden, CO shooting an (about to be famous) author who has written a fabulous book that has nothing to do with old Pinto station wagons. Her name is Kristen Iverson and her book is titled “Full Body Burden”. It deals with her upbringing near the Rocky Flats facility that used to make plutonium triggers during the cold war. Currently Rocky Flats and it’s surrounding poisoned land is being reopened for housing and recreation despite the obvious health risks.

I had some free time in San Francisco last night so I headed over to Stinson Beach to have some dinner and touch the ocean. As a bonus I found these guys playing on the rocks and watching the sunset over Muir Beach.
I won 4 Addys last week for my work with John Deere and Kimberly Clark including a “Best Of” category. Both were shot for the great Chicago Ad Agency Gyro who took 3 of the top 8 Awards (Leo Burnett took the other 5).
2 of 2. From a recent shoot with USG showcasing their new lighter products and how it makes the competitors products feel. Thanks to the great creative director Mark Sedlacek and to Robert Frolich at Filtre Studio for making these come to life.
